Christie was born in Lexington, KY, but her childhood took her to Ohio, Arkansas, Tennessee, and even Buenos Aires, Argentina. However, it wasn’t until she moved to Texas in 2009 that she felt a true sense of belonging. She fondly credits Texas with stealing her heart.
“Growing up and moving so often taught me how to adapt to new situations, cultures, and environments,” Christie shares. “I’m grateful for the experience because it taught me to thrive even outside of my comfort zone.” Reflecting on her love for the Dallas area, she adds, “Dallas is such a wonderful blend of people from all over the world, yet it still holds that southern small-town charm. Despite the rapid growth, neighbors still wave and lend a helping hand—that’s what makes this city so special to me.”
